  • 1 bowl red sour cherries
  • white vinegar
  • sugar

Directions

    Place cherries in a bowl and cover with white vinegar; let stand 24 hours.

    Pour vinegar off.

    Add sugar to cherries, cup for cup.

    Stir every few hours for 5 or 6 days until sugar is dissolved.

    Put in small jars and seal.

    Serve as a condiment (like pickles).
