Caramel Apple Pudding

  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 25 KRAFT Caramel Apple caramels (about 1/2 of 14 oz. package)
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts (optional)

Directions

    Stir milk into cornstarch in medium saucepan.

    Add caramels.

    Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until caramels are melted, stirring frequently.

    Remove 1/2 of the caramel mixture; whisk into eggs in small bowl until well blended.

    Add to remaining caramel mixture in saucepan.

    Cook over medium high heat 2 to 3 minutes; whisk constantly until mixture just begins to boil.

    Remove from heat; stir in butter.

    Cover surface of pudding with plastic wrap; cool to room temperature.

    Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

    Spoon pudding into serving bowls; sprinkle with walnuts.
