- 14 oz. pkg. light caramels
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 7 1/2 Tbsp. canned milk or half and half
- 1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
- 1 c. margarine
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt caramels in a heavy saucepan or in microwave with the cream.

2Combine rest of ingredients, except chocolate chips and nuts.

3Press 3/4 in greased 9 x 19-inch pan.

4Bake 10 minutes. Then sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.

5Dribble the caramel mixture and then the remaining crumbs.

6Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.

7Cool before cutting.
