- 1 German chocolate cake mix with pudding
- 1 stick melted margarine
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. caramels
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 1/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.

3Combine cake mix, melted margarine and 1/3 cup milk.

4Press half of mixture in pan and bake 6 minutes.

5Set aside to cool.

6Melt 1/3 cup milk and caramels over low heat, stirring until smooth.

7Sprinkle chocolate chips and 1 cup nuts over cake.

8Spread caramels over chips and nuts.

9Drop remainder of cake mixture on caramels.

10Sprinkle with remaining nuts.

11Bake 20 minutes.
