  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 tsp. soda, mixed in buttermilk

Directions

    Cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water (234° on candy thermometer).

    Remove from heat and beat until smooth.

    Cool and spread between layers and on top.

    Decorate top with nuts, if desired.
