- 1 box German chocolate cake mix, mix as directed
- 1 (4 oz.) caramel squares
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Mix cake mix as directed.

2Pour 1/2 in bottom of 11 x 14-inch pan.

3Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.

4Melt caramels, butter and milk.

5Pour over bottom layer.

6Pour the rest of the cake over this with chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

7Bake for 20 minutes. Top with whipped cream and serve.
