  • 4 1/2 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. roasted peanuts (optional)

Directions

    Boil all ingredients (except popcorn, soda and peanuts) for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Remove from heat and add soda, stirring quickly.

    Pour over popcorn, mixing well.

    Spread popcorn mixture on 2 large flat pans and place in a 250° oven for 1 hour. Stir 2 or 3 times while baking.

    Store in tightly closed container.
