  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 6 qt. popped popcorn
  • nuts (optional)

Directions

    Combine oleo, brown sugar, Karo syrup and salt in pan.

    Heat to boiling.

    Boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Add baking soda.

    Pour over popped corn.

    Spread on 2 cookie sheets.

    Put into 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
