  • 8 or 9 qt. popcorn, popped
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, salt, Karo syrup and vanilla.

    Boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add baking soda.

    Stir well.

    Pour over popcorn and stir thoroughly.

    Put on baking sheet or in roaster and bake at 250° for 1 hour.
