- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed in cup
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
Directions

1Melt butter in saucepan.

2Add brown sugar.

3Boil over low heat 2 minutes stirring constantly.

4Add milk.

5Keep stirring until mixture boils.

6Remove from heat; cool.

7Add confectioners sugar beating well after each addition until thick enough to spread. Enough to fill and frost an 8 or 9-inch layer cake. Good on spice cake.
