- 12 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 c. milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 or 6 eggs
- 1 c. condensed milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Caramelize the 12 tablespoons sugar.

2Melt in iron skillet. While this is melting, scald 4 cups milk (not boil).

3Pour the milk over melted sugar, stirring until melted again.

4Separate the eggs, saving whites (to beat later).

5Beat egg yolks with sugar (2 cups), flour and can of milk.

6Add to first mixture; cook until thick.

7Let this cool, then beat egg whites and fold in.

8Add vanilla.

9Add enough milk to fill freezer.

10This makes 1 gallon of ice cream.
