- 12 c. popped popcorn
- 3 c. walnut halves and/or unblanched almonds
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Divide popcorn and nuts between 2 ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pans.

2Cook brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt over medium heat.

3Stir occasionally, until bubbly around edges.

4Continue cooking five minutes and remove from heat.

5Stir in baking soda until foamy.

6Pour over popcorn and nuts, stirring until corn is well coated.

7Bake, uncovered, in a 200° oven, stirring every 15 minutes for one hour.

8Makes 15 servings at 300 calories per serving.
