- 2/3 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- about 2 1/2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease a 10 x 15-inch jelly-roll pan. To prepare cookie base:

3In a large mixing bowl beat butter, brown sugar, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy.

4Stir in flour 1/2 cup at a time, blending well after each addition.

5Spread evenly in prepared pan.

6Cover solidly with rows of pecan halves.

7Bake 18 to 22 minutes, or until golden brown.

8Cool in pan on rack.
