*Caramel Pecan Buns

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. soft margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. melted margarine
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 2/3 c. pecan halves
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Stir in 1/4 cup sugar, salt, 2 tablespoons margarine, egg and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth.

    Work in remaining flour until dough is easy to handle.

    Place in a greased bowl; also grease dough.

    Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight or up to 4 or 5 days.
