- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pie shell, baked
Directions

1Brown 1/2 cup sugar in a heavy skillet.

2Combine 1 cup sugar, flour, egg yolks, butter, milk and vanilla.

3Pour heated mixture gradually into caramelized sugar, stirring until smooth.

4Cook until thick.

5Pour into baked pastry shell.

6Make meringue with 3 egg whites and 3 tablespoons sugar.

7Bake in oven until brown.
