- 6 qt. popped corn
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Place popped corn in large dishpan.

2Place sugar, cream of tartar and water in 3-quart saucepan.

3Bring to boil.

4Place cover on pan and boil 5 minutes on medium, stirring occasionally. Uncover pan and continue cooking without stirring for about 10 minutes or when color starts to change.

5Do not cook until it turns dark.

6Remove from heat, add margarine and soda and mix thoroughly. Pour quickly over popcorn.

7Stir to coat.

8Let cool slightly and separate.
