- 1 c. butter
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 (15 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt the butter in a 3-quart saucepan; add brown sugar and salt.

2Stir until combined.

3Stir in corn syrup and mix well. Gradually add the condensed milk, stirring constantly.

4Insert candy thermometer and cook over medium heat until candy reaches 245° (firm ball stage).

5This will take around 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

6Mix well and then pour into a buttered 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

7Cool and cut into squares.

8Yield: 2 1/2 pounds.
