Cheese Bread Braids

- 6 3/4 to 7 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz.)
Directions

1Combine 3 cups flour and yeast.

2Heat milk, sugar, butter and salt just until warm (115° to 120°) and butter is almost melted, stirring constantly.

3Add to flour mixture.

4Add eggs and cheese. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl.

5Beat for 3 minutes on high speed.

6Using a spoon, stir in as much flour as you can.

7Turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead in enough remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic (6 to 8 minutes).

8Divide into thirds. Form each portion into a ball.

9Wrap in clear plastic wrap; transfer to freezer bags.

10Seal, label and freeze.
