  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. zwieback (toasted bran bread)
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. cottage cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind

Directions

    Roll the zwieback into fine crumbs and mix with the melted butter or margarine and 1/2 cup of the sugar.

    Pack all but 1/2 cup of this mixture on the bottom and sides of a well-greased 9-inch pan.
