- 2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. rice cereal
Directions

1Combine cheese, butter, salt and pepper in mixing bowl.

2Beat until smooth.

3Add flour and cereal; mix with wooden spoon.

4Shape into 1-inch balls.

5Place 2-inches apart on baking sheet.

6Flatten with a fork.

7Bake at 400° for 10 minutes or until edges are brown.

8Remove to wire rack to cool.
