- 1 qt. milk
- 1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter
- 1 c. grits (regular)
- 1/3 c. melted butter
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Heat milk and butter in deep saucepan to boiling point but do not boil.

2Add grits and cook 15 minutes or until done, stirring constantly.

3Remove from heat; add salt and pepper.

4Beat vigorously (electric beater at high) for 5 minutes.

5Pour into buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole and pour melted butter over top. Sprinkle with cheeses.

6Bake about 30 minutes or until brown in 350° oven.

7Serves 8.
