- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

1In a large skillet over medium heat, saute potatoes in butter until almost tender and lightly browned.
