- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1/2 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
Directions

1Mix butter and cheese at room temperature.

2Add balance of ingredients and mix.

3Shape into sausage shaped roll, about 2-inches in diameter.

4Wrap in wax paper and chill.

5You can freeze at this point.

6Slice 1/4-inch thick slices (as for icebox cookies).

7Bake in 375° oven on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes.

8Yields about 40 wafers.
