Cheesy Grits

  • 1 c instant grits
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 qrt milk
  • 4-6 oz. gruyere cheese
  • 1/4 c parmesan cheese

Directions

    Stir 1 c. grits into 1 qt scalded milk with 1 tsp salt and 1 stick margarine. Cook until thick (10-12 mins).

    Pour into 13x8x2 in pan. Chill overnight. Cut into squares and loosen . Sprinkle over top, 3 triangles gruyere cheese (approx. 4-6 oz.) and 1/4 c parmesan cheese. Pour melted butter over top - about one stick. Bake @ 375 degrees for 40 min. Serves 8.
