- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. finely chopped celery
- 1/2 c. elbow macaroni, uncooked
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (15 oz.) can Green Giant light or dark red kidney beans, undrained
- 4 oz. (4 slices) American cheese
Directions

1In skillet, brown ground beef and onion.

2Drain.

3Stir in tomato sauce, water, celery, macaroni, chili powder and salt. Bring to a boil.

4Reduce heat.

5Cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until celery and macaroni are tender.

6Stir in kidney beans. Simmer until thoroughly heated.

7Spoon chili into serving bowls. Cut cheese slices into 4 servings.
