- 2 lb. hash browns, thawed
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion or 1 Tbsp. dried flakes
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 stick melted margarine
- 2 c. American cheese or 12 (3/4-oz.) slices
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except the potatoes together.

2Fold in potatoes.

3Place mixture in a greased 13 x 9-inch dish.

4Cover with foil and cook at 350° for 1 hour.

5Remove the foil the last 10 to 15 minutes for browning.
