- 1/2 c. cooled mashed potatoes
- 1/3 c. melted shortening
- 2 well beaten eggs
- 2 1/2 c. Occident flour (approximately)
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine potatoes, water and 1 teaspoon sugar.

2Sprinkle yeast on top.

3Let stand until bubbly.

4Add the rest, stirring in enough flour to make a soft dough (not as stiff as bread dough).

5Knead until smooth.

6Let rise until double in bulk.
