- 4 1/3 cups cherries
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 lemon zest
- 1/2 cup port wine
Directions

1Remove the cherry pits.

2In a saucepan, add the cherries, sugar, cinnamon stick, lemon zest, and port wine.

3On medium heat, stir until the sugar forms a syrup. When the mixture starts to boil, lower the heat, and simmer. Cook for 1 1/2 hours until the jam reaches the setting point or 105 degrees Celsius.

4Pour the jam in sterilized jars, cover and turn upside-down to seal.
