- 1 c. (2 sticks) margarine
- 1 lb. (16 oz.) brown sugar
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat; remove pan from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients, except confectioners sugar, in order listed.

3Mix well after each addition, using large spoon to mix not mixer.

4Spread batter in prepared pan.

5Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake begins to pull away from sides of pan.

6Cool in pan for 10 minutes.

7Sift confectioners sugar over top.

8Cool completely and cut into bars or squares.

9Makes about 12 to 15 servings.
