- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

3Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat; remove pan from heat.

4Stir in remaining ingredients, except confectioners sugar, in order listed; mix well after each addition.

5Spread batter in prepared pan.

6Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake begins to pull away from sides of pan.

7Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes.

8Sift confectioners sugar over top.

9Cool completely and cut into squares.

10Makes 12 to 15 servings.
