- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut (optional)
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Lightly grease an 8-inch square pan. Combine flour and sugar.

3Using pastry blender, cut in oleo until mixture resembles fine meal.

4Press into a greased pan.

5Bake for 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

6Meanwhile, combine eggs, brown sugar and vanilla; beat well.

7Stir in soda, walnuts, raisins and coconut.

8Spoon over hot crust.

9Spread to cover evenly.

10Return to oven; bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes or until top is set.

11Cool completely and cut into 20 bars.
