Chicken Casserole

- 4 lb. chicken breasts
- 1 box wild rice
- 3 or 4 chopped onions
- 2 sticks butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c. milk
- 1 large can mushrooms, sliced
- 1 lb. sharp grated cheese
Directions

1Cook chicken breasts.

2Cut in chunks.

3Cook rice as directed on package (omit season packet).

4Saute onion in butter; blend in flour, soup and milk for sauce.

5Add mushrooms and seasonings.

6In large 3-quart casserole, alternate layers of sauce, rice, chicken and cheese, ending with cheese.

7Bake at 300° to 350° until bubbly.

8Serves 10 to 12.
