Chicken Cheese Casserole

  • 1 large boiling chicken
  • 24 oz. bag spaghetti or noodles
  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 jar Old English cheese spread (Kraft)
  • 2 cans sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper (optional)

Directions

    Boil chicken and take off bones.

    Cook noodles in chicken broth. Add some water, if necessary.

    Leave broth on noodles.

    Do not drain.

    Cream the margarine and flour.

    Add milk and cheese (melt cheese in milk). Pour sauce over cut up chicken, noodles, onion and pepper.

    Cook at 350° until bubbles in middle.
