  • 2 frying chickens, cut (unfloured)
  • 4 or 5 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 can beef bouillon
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 or 3 bay leaves
  • 1/4 c. dry sherry
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 c. diced ripe olives (black)
  • Crisco

Directions

    Brown chicken in Crisco. Saute garlic and onions. Add flour and brown lightly. Add bouillon, water, thyme and bay leaves. Combine all and cook slowly 1 hour or more. Near end of cooking, add olives and sherry.
