  • 1 chicken (2 1/2 to 3 lb.)
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can chicken broth (may use broth from chicken)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Boil chicken until tender, about an hour.

    Remove skin; pick chicken from bones.

    Put chicken in a baking dish (use 13 x 7-inch dish).

    Melt margarine; pour over chicken.

    Sift flour and salt; blend in milk until smooth.

    Spread flour mixture over chicken.

    In saucepan, blend soup and broth.

    Heat to boiling; pour over flour mixture.

    Bake in a 425° oven until brown.
