- 16 ounces pitted dates Amport, chopped, best to buy whole, and chop by hand
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups rice or more if preferred, Cripies
Directions

1Mix dates, butter, sugar, and water in a sauce pan and cook on medium until mix turn to a paste like consistancy

2Remove from heat, add rice crispies and vanilla

3Roll into balls and allow to cool.

4Roll in powdered sugar if desired
