  • 16 ounces pitted dates Amport, chopped, best to buy whole, and chop by hand
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups rice or more if preferred, Cripies

Directions

    Mix dates, butter, sugar, and water in a sauce pan and cook on medium until mix turn to a paste like consistancy

    Remove from heat, add rice crispies and vanilla
  3. 3
    Roll into balls and allow to cool.

    Roll in powdered sugar if desired
