- 3 lb. meat
- 6 oz. fat or lard
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 4 to 6 Tbsp. chili powder
- 8 Tbsp. masa harina
- 6 c. hot water
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 cubes beef bouillon
- 2 jalapeno peppers
- 3 Tbsp. chopped onions
Directions

1Brown meat in fat.

2Over medium heat, add garlic, salt, pepper, chili powder and masa.

3Mix until fat is absorbed.

4Slowly add hot water.

5Stir in remaining ingredients.

6Simmer 1 to 2 hours, stirring often.

7Serve with Mexican cornbread or crackers. Top with grated cheese, if desired.
