Chili Rellenos

Ingredients

  • 1 can green Ortega chili peppers
  • 1 (7 oz.) can green Ortega salsa
  • 1 lb. Jack cheese, grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 large can condensed milk
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Grate cheeses and mix.

    If using whole peppers, they must be washed and drained (remove seeds).

    In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, flour and salt together.

    Use a very large shallow casserole or two smaller ones.

    Put half cheese mixture in dish.

    Layer peppers, then add remaining cheese.

    Pour egg mixture over it. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

    Add salsa sauce on top and bake 15 minutes more.
