- 12 lb. ripe tomatoes
- 10 medium sized onions
- 4 sweet green peppers
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. each: allspice, cinnamon and ground mustard
- 2 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Peel and chop tomatoes; prepare and chop all other vegetables and combine with tomatoes.

2Boil gently for 2 hours, stirring frequently.

3Add vinegar, sugar, salt and spices.

4Cook over simmer flame 1 hour longer, stirring occasionally.

5Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.

6Makes 8 to 10 pints.
