Chocolate Bread Pudding

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 1 qt. chocolate milk, scalded
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Toast and cube bread.

    Place bread cubes in buttered baking dish.

    Beat eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla together.

    Scald the chocolate milk and pour over bread cubes. Add butter to bread and milk so it will melt.

    Add other combined ingredients.

    Mix together with spoon.

    Bake at 375° until golden brown or knife comes out clean, approximately 1 hour.

    Serve hot or cold with whipped cream topping.
