  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Stir together the dry ingredients.

    Mix together the liquid ingredients; add to dry mixture, mixing until smooth.

    Pour into greased pans (9 x 13-inches or two 9-inch round).

    Bake at 350° approximately 35 minutes for layers or approximately 40 minutes for 9 x 13-inch pan or until tests done.

    Cool 10 minutes in pan and remove.
