- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 stick oleo
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 4 Tbsp cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions

1Sift sugar and flour together in large bowl.

2Set aside.

3In saucepan, melt together oleo, Crisco, cocoa and water.

4Bring to a rapid boil and pour over flour and sugar.

5Mix well.

6Then add buttermilk, eggs, soda, and vanilla.

7Mix well and pour into a greased 11 x 16 pan.

8Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.

9Start making frosting 5 minutes before cake is done.
