- 1-1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup candied cherries
- 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 cups walnuts
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

2Cut dates in large chunks, slice cherries in half, chop nuts.

3Mix together fruits, nuts and chocolate chips.

4Beat eggs until foamy.

5Add sugar gradually and continue beating until smooth and light.

6Stir in flour mixture, then fruit mixture.

7Pour into 9x5-inch loaf pan that has been lined with greased wax paper.

8Bake 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours in 325F oven.

9Cool in pan for 30 minutes, remove from pan.

10Peel off paper and cool completely.

11Wrap in foil and refrigerate or freeze.
