  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Combine water, margarine, shortening and cocoa in saucepan and bring to a boil.

    In another container, mix together eggs, sour milk, vanilla and soda.

    In large mixing bowl put flour, sugar and salt.

    Pour melted mixture over dry and mix well.

    Mix in egg mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes (large jelly roll pan is good).
