  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 c. soft butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sour cream

Directions

    Pour boiling water over the chocolate; let stand until cool. Cream the butter and vanilla.

    Add brown sugar and add eggs one at a time.

    Mix together the flour, soda and salt.

    Stir this into creamed mixture; mix well.

    Blend in sour cream and chocolate water.

    Bake in prepared loaf pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
