- 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 stick butter, softened
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 egg whites
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Put chocolate in saucepan.

2Cover with 2 inches very hot tap water.

3Cover.

4Let stand 5 minutes or until chocolate is soft enough to stick toothpick through.

5When chocolate is soft, but not dissolved, drain water.

6Do not worry that some water clings.

7Add yolks.

8Stir with whisk and cook until thick.

9Remove from heat. Add butter, salt and vanilla.

10Mix well and cool.

11Beat egg whites; gradually add sugar.

12Beat until stiff.

13Mix into chocolate. Serves 6.
