Chocolate Nut Balls

- 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. coconut
- dash of salt
Directions

1Melt in saucepan the chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring frequently.

2Remove pan from heat.

3Cool to lukewarm. Beat in egg until smooth and glossy.

4Add sugar, vanilla and salt; mix well.

5Stir in 1/2 coconut.

6Chill 1 hour.

7Roll into 1-inch balls, then coat in balance of coconut.

8Chill 3 hours until firm on cookie sheet in refrigerator.

9Makes 2 1/2 dozen balls.
