- 10 whole Small Pears
- 1 cup Red Wine
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Zest
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 16 ounces, weight Chocolate
- 4 ounces, fluid Heavy Whipping Cream
Directions

1Peel the pears, remove center core and level each pear so that you can place them on a tray.

2In a big pot, add the wine, cinnamon, lemon zest and sugar. Cook over low heat for a few minutes until it starts boiling.

3Add the pears, making sure they are all standing up straight in the pot. Cook for 25 minutes or until pears are tender. Drain and let them cool on a tray.

4Continue to cook the rest of the liquid from the pears in high heat until you end up with about 4 tablespoonfuls.

5Melt chocolate with cream and add the liquid from the pears.

6Coat each pear with chocolate. Let it stand for 10 minutes and serve!
