Chocolate Pecan Pie

- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 ounces chocolate chips
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 2/3 cup corn syrup, light
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 Ready-made pie crust, such as chocolate cookie
Directions

1In 350°F oven, toast pecans on baking sheet for 4 minutes.

2Remove.

3Raise temp. to 375°F.

4In small pan over low heat, stir butter and chocolate until melted, about 1 minute.

5In mixing bowl, lightly beat eggs.

6Blend in molasses, corn syrup, sugar, vanilla and salt.

7Stir in chocolate mixture and then pecans.

8Spoon mixture into piecrust and bake until filling is set, 45-50 minutes.

9Cool and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
