  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 square baking chocolate, semisweet, melted
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon, optional

    blend in sugar using spoon

    stir in syrup, butter, and chocolate

    fill pie crust

    cover edge with foil all around

    bake at 350F for 25 minutes

    remove foil for additional 25 minutes

    pie is done when a knife, inserted into center of pie, comes out clean
